1879 Alpine Collection by Josef Seboth

We discovered images of Austrian artist Joseph Seboth’s (1814-1883) collection, Alpine Plants Painted from Nature, here in Saint Meinrad Archabbey’s own Rare Book Room. The collection became an endless source of inspiration for Snail’s Pace designer, Ashley M. Verkamp, as she has reimagined his pieces for a modern world while retaining the timeless appeal of the original source.
